This made my blood boil when Virginia's family tried to muscle in on the bakery business she worked so hard to make a success. It kept my nerves strung tight right until near the end when it went flat with forgiveness given too soon to be believable. Sure, she might have eventually forgiven them, but in months, not days. Waving back to her brother, who nearly destroyed her business? Just too goody two-shoes to be true. Overall a good story, but with a rather weak ending.
Protag turning the press conference into a grand reopening was a nice touch.
But the AI lost me with the evil brother trying to redeem himself. Pull the other one! He would have blamed OP for his g/f leaving, and the family would have enabled as usual. Toxic people don't change, they just get better at fooling you.
Virginia found her own REAL family, not the people she shares genetic material with. I would hope she goes no contact after that monstrous betrayal and never trust anything they say.

Instead of immediately escalating to legal threats, she could have attempted a final, firm conversation with her parents and brother. Burning bridges so completely might protect her business, but it risks permanently severing family ties that, despite their flaws, are still a part of her life.
This is terrible. I mean I can’t believe it that Sister works really hard to make a business and the parents demand that she shares profits with a brother that’s not willing to work I mean; he he’s bald body man and and he’s too lazy to earn a living? I can’t believe this. It just makes me so angry that you got a working member of the family and and she has to share Her hard-working profits to support someone who’s too damn lazy to work! This is just too ridiculous for words thank goodness she can thankfully is able to stand up for herself eventually but I just found it just too funny for words. Again even though this story is fiction but I mean possibly in reality how often does this really happen where you have a working member of the family that has to Support so a few that are not willing to work and it’s just just makes my blood boil. It really does.

This started off as a real good story, but dropped the ball towards the end. You start off in a real fight , but then lose the plot with too much feel good mush. When you write a story, keep the energy you started with. Not graft on a worthless Disney ending.
